Guys I'm going to start this series after finishing Sun Eater (On Demon in White currently).

How would you rate both?

I’m going to read the Sun Eater series after I finish the most recent RR book. It’s currently my favorite Sci-Fi series.

That first book might put you off but afterwards it’s way more fast paced with similar depth

But I just started sun eater book 5 tho can’t really truly compare yet

RR a bit more enjoyable to me as of right now

just finished Light Bringer. what an incredible book. probably his best written of the series and has my favorite character moments. I need Red God yesterday.

Yea this book is when he went Super Sayain 4 to me. The way he effortlessly was weaving in philosophy and Taoism was god tier writing.

definitely the peak of the series for me. I really hope Red God drops either this year or early next year. the wait is killing me!

Golden Son and Lightbringer top 2 in the series for me. Two of my favorite books ever.

Red god is either gonna break us or MAYBE offer that redemption we all need so bad, but I doubt it tbh

Same. My fav two of the series as well. The ending of GS was so unhinged. I go my sister to read it and she said she felt the need to go smoke a pack of newports after to process everything.

It was the entirety of Golden Son that had me either stressed or upset, and I consider that to be a great accomplishment. You are having me, a real life human, be genuinely concerned for the wellbeing of a fictional character.

I would prefer that. I want it to be massive. There would be a measurable hype difference within me if PB were to come out and say that Red God is going to be 650 pages or so compared to if he came out and said it was going to be 1000.

Yup. It's been a year or so since i finished, but def gonna do a whole ass re-read once we get a release date for Red God. Would be dope to revive KTT book club to do a whole reading of either everything, or maybe just LB before release. Im lowkey already forgetting s*** that happened lol

Let's just put it this way... once I finished reading all of the books, it has legit been tough for me to get into reading anything else. I know that s*** sounds crazy but RR was a special experience reading wise.
